
Sarah started practicing yoga in 1974, and has taught yoga since 1990. She earned her B.A. in 1989 from the University of California, Santa Cruz where she majored in Community Studies and Social Change with the thesis, The Human Potential Movement. She did field study for her thesis at Esalen Institute- a holistic retreat and educational institute that is considered the epicenter of the human potential movement.
Sarah was inspired by her studies of the human potential and began a career devoted to assisting individuals on their paths to optimal well-being through yoga. Sarah took her first yoga teacher training with Kali Ray through TriYoga. Years later she completed a 200 hour training through the Kripalu Institute with Devarshi and currently she is enrolled in a 500 hour training through the Kripalu Institute. In addition, Sarah is a certified level 2 Reiki practitioner and offers sound meditations with her husband Kevin. Find out more information about Sounds of Harmony
Since 2010 Sarah has been developing the program a breathe yoga break to share the benefits of yoga in an accessible, brief, and effective format. Sarah Bell believes that yoga can be for every body and envisions that distilling the foundational essence of yoga in this concise program will assist people in learning how to simply integrate and receive the many benefits of yoga practices into their life.
